In Praise of Filet O’ Fish and Shamrock Shakes

Is there anything better on on a Friday in Lent than 2 Filet O’ Fish and a large Shamrock shake? And was there a worse name for a fish sandwich than Burger King’s “Whaler”?

Try this one on for size. Instead of the neighborhood fish fry, McD’s, or even worse, Long John Silvers. Go to Dairy Queen. Take the family, and have everyone get banana splits. Then just sit back and watch their faces. It truly is a delight watching everyone, young and old enjoy something that they aren’t supposed to eat for dinner.Probably a close second to Filet o’ Fish and Shamrock shakes
